Born along with the NESBent project, I decided to
make an external control box as a standalone project in order to simplify the
NESBent and keep everything modular for further improvements.
1x Arduino Mega 2560, programmed with a sequencer for the relays.
8x relays, used as the actual interface to sequence the glitches.
1x Nokia 5510 screen used for displaying the interface of the
sequencer.
1x pushable rotary encoder needed to adjust tempo and select the
channel to edit.
1x 4x4 keypad, used to map the sequence of each channel for 16
steps.
16x output 3.5mm audio jack connectors, used in pairs for each
relay channel.
The sequencer allows the user to connect two breakout points to a single relay
channel, and program the sequence through the arduino with the interface shown
on the lcd screen. Adjusting tempo allows the user to sync the effects
sequence to the music being played.
